what were u thinking?

i have begun a series of conversations regarding specific concerns i've encountered that just make me want to go up to strangers and say: "what were you thinking?", because i just can't believe you would say, do, act, eat, etc. what i just saw or heard from you.   people, and myself being a "people", do absolutely stupid stuff that just blows my mind away.  i am far from perfect, but i hope i can look myself in the mirror and say: "you have not purposefully done something stupid today."

here's my first concern:  yes, i'm a rabid Oklahoma University fan!  but, seriously, how can the NCAA allow players to sign professional baseball contracts and then return to play amateur collegiate football.  Brandon Weeden is my example.  did i hear correctly that he received a 560,000 dollar signing bonus? really?  and other players that have struggled, somewhat, to make it through college, get deemed a professional if they talk to an agent as an underclassmen.   HELLO?  NCAA.... you've screwed up, AGAIN!  unbelieveable that the announcers talk about how calm and cool he is under pressure.  HELLO?  he's 28 years old, pitched for the most storied franchise in all of baseball, albeit minor league.  he should be calm and cool.  he's got a bankroll bigger than oklahoma teachers of 30 years.   okay, let's hear how this is all sour grapes.  but i say it's a travesty that needs to be changed immediately.  players want to sign lucrative baseball contracts at a young age should not be able to then "change their mind" and change sports.  WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
